Public Information Meeting: Treadwell Mills Military Turnpike Corridor Pedestrian and Bicycle Improvements Project

The Clinton County Highway Department will conduct a Public Information Meeting to discuss the Treadwell Mills Military Turnpike Corridor Pedestrian and Bicycle Improvements Project, in the Town of Plattsburgh.  The meeting will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 7th, 2024 at the Town of Plattsburgh Offices, located at 151 Banker Road, Plattsburgh, New York.

 

The project will involve installation of new sidewalks and crosswalks, improving existing sidewalks, installation of bike lanes, rehabilitation of the existing pavement, and drainage improvements. Traffic will be maintained with daily lane and shoulder closures.

 

The project is being progressed as Project Identification Number (PIN) 7807.87, by the Clinton County Highway Department, the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT), and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).  At present, the project is in the preliminary design phase.  Representatives from the Clinton County Highway Department, NYSDOT, and Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C. will be available at the meeting to answer questions and obtain comments on the proposed project from individuals, groups, officials and local agencies.
