The Town Clerk's office is able to help our residents with a wide variety of items. We can help you with obtaining copies of birth certificates of births that occur within the town (if your child was born at CVPH, these records are kept at the city clerk's office). If you are looking for a death certificate of a town resident who passed away in the town, we would be able to assist you. If you are looking to get married, you can obtain your marriage license at our office; we also maintain copies of all marriage licenses that were issued and can provide copies upon request. We also sell NY State Hunting and Fishing licenses and issue NY State Handicap Parking permits. This office also provides licenses for your dog(s) and issues various permits for such things as peddlers, bingo, junk yards and carnivals. Click here to get applications and permits.

The Town Clerk is the recording secretary for the Town Board, and attends all Town Board meetings. The Clerk is the author of the minute books, the only official record of the activities of the Town government. The resulting volumes are retained permanently for legal and historic purposes. Under the Freedom of Information Law (FOIL), minutes and other town records are available to the public. Minutes are posted online on the right column, and are available by request.
